doubloon earrings with tahitian pearls
Stunning Tahitian black pearls are suspended from a gold flower inspired by ancient coins that I saw on St Helena island when we stopped there on our crossing of the Atlantic Ocean.
Each gold flower is made individually by melting down recycled gold in a process that makes each one slightly different and unique. The organic texture is reminiscent of hand struck ancient coins and I used the floral motif on Spanish gold doubloons as inspiration.
My Tahitian pearls are all sourced from a single pearl farm on a remote island in French Polynesia, I'm so excited to offer this level of traceability! This farm is also sustainably run with a strong environmental policy in place to protect the reef.
Pearl size is 10mm, round shape. Dark colour with green to pink overtone.
The earrings hang around 3cm long from 9 carat gold ear hooks.
Handmade in Australia, I ship worldwide by registered trackable airmail.
