tahitian keshi pearl moondrop pendant
A single Tahitian keshi black pearl moondrop is suspended from a rose gold bail on an oxidised sterling silver chain in this delicate necklace. Perfect for everyday layering.
Keshi pearls are formed when the shell bead used to grow a cultured pearl is rejected by the pearl oyster, the resulting pearl is made up completely of solid nacre. They are usually a baroque shape and much smaller than regular cultured pearls that still have their shell bead inside.
My Tahitian pearls are sourced from a single farm on a remote island in French Polynesia. I'm so excited to offer this level of traceability! This pearl farm is sustainably run and has a strong environmental policy in place to protect the reef.
Handmade in my studio in Australia, I ship worldwide by trackable airmail.
